Te Tūranga | The role:
As the Head of Divisional Finance for Personal banking, you will work closely with the Executive and Senior Leadership Teams as a "Trusted Finance Partner". This includes being part of the lead team, contributing and influencing at this level. With a thorough understanding of business strategy and ability to provide accurate financial information and analysis, you will enable the business to drive performance and seize opportunities.
Leading a cohesive and talented team, you will lead the production and development of accurate business unit budgets and forecasts to meet strategic initiatives. You will also provide technical accounting advice to each business and support business activities including assessment of new products, services, systems and processes.

The role would suit an experienced finance professional with a passion for technology and innovation, that can understand and communicate technical terms and concepts clearly. Skills and experience critical to the success of this role include;
- Deep understanding of commercial finance business issues.
- Ability to challenge to achieve desired business outcomes.
- Stakeholder management skills and experience working with (and influencing) execs and senior leaders.
- Strong communication skills both written and verbal and ability to simplify a message.
- Strong expense management background.
- Significant project accounting experience.
- Pragmatic, level-headed ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines.
- People Management experience with a track record of engaging, growing and developing talent.
