In the ASB Financial Crime and Investigations team we are proud to play a vital role in protecting our Customers, Organisation, and the Community against the impact of Financial Crime. As part of the Customer Offboarding Team, you will be a contributor in the Financial Crime Operations Centre of Excellence, where we are responsible for mitigating risk within the bank's portfolio by liaising directly with customers to ensure a smooth offboarding experience.
This is a critical permanent role in the end-to-end management of financial crime to comply with Anti Money Laundering (AML) / Counter Terrorism Financing (CTF) legislation, Sanctions obligations and ASB regulatory requirements.
You will liaise with internal and external stakeholders, owning and managing the offboarding process of customers from various backgrounds and business units. You will engage directly with ASB customers and assisting them through the offboarding process.

- Support the Manager by ensuring the completion and appropriate remediation of cases to meet our legislative obligations.
- Have strong communication skills and able to de-escalate stressful conversations.
- Resilient when dealing with difficult customers.
- Adhere to internal policies regarding customer offboarding.
- Ensure accurate and detailed records are maintained.
- Personally develop and maintain a strong risk focus. Understand the risks of your business to be able to identify and escalate where appropriate.

- Strong attention to detail, with the ability to ensure confidentiality is always maintained.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to work autonomously and deliver right first-time outcomes with minimal oversight.
- Risk awareness and risk mitigation strategies.
- Operational knowledge of Banks internal systems, policies and products would be advantageous.
