The Role

We are seeking an enthusiastic and qualified ECE Kaiako to join our team in a permanent, part-time role (20 hours per week, Monday to Friday). As a kaiako at St Johns Kindergarten, you will play a key role in creating an inclusive, engaging, and dynamic learning environment for tamariki.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Foster play-based learning that empowers tamariki to explore and thrive.
  • Build strong, meaningful relationships with tamariki, whānau, and the local community.
  • Plan, assess, and document learning experiences effectively.
  • Celebrate the cultural diversity of tamariki and whānau, embedding bicultural practices.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to sustainability and weave it into teaching experiences.
  • Support children's physical games, nature-based learning, and STEAM activities.
  • Utilise ICT tools and emerging technologies to enhance learning outcomes.
