Job Description:

The Company
Our client is a well-known, medium sized retailer and distributor of specialist products used in the civil construction industry. They are based in Auckland and they are looking to expand and grow in the Waikato and Bay of Plenty region.


The Role
This is an external sales role where you will be spending most of your day out on the road visiting prospective and existing customers. Using your knowledge and connections in the construction market, as well as your ability to problem solve, you will build new and long lasting relationships with customers in the industry.

You will be working closely with an internal sales representative to complete order processes. They have a robust CRM system which will help you manage your sales activities - good computer and admin skills are required for this role.

We are looking for someone who has the natural ability to build rapport with people and someone who has the hunger and drive to generate sales and 'close the deal'.

As this is not an office role, you can be based anywhere within the Waikato and Bay of Plenty region. A salary of $80k to $90k with excellent incentives are on offer.

In summary, the requirements are,

  • Previous experience in a sales role
  • Experience working in civil construction, or at minimum, commercial construction, trade, industrial or similar is essential
  • Motivated and enjoy travelling
  • Able to problem solve and think outside the box
