Kennedy Technologies is a New Zealand-based R&D company developing cutting-
edge robotic automation solutions for the fruit packing industry. We combine
mechatronics, vision systems, and AI to solve complex post-harvest challenges with
smart, scalable solutions.

The role
As a Data Image Annotator, you'll work closely with our machine learning teams to
label, tag, and categorize fruit images with accuracy and consistency. Your work will
directly contribute to the development of cutting-edge AI fruit sorting models.
This is a short-term project currently expected to run for approximately 4–5 weeks.
For the right candidate with a computer science background and an interest in AI
there is also the opportunity to use this project to work with our team to improve the
process through deeper learning of the labeller software or scripting and automating
more of the process. This could then have the potential to expand further to join the
vision development team as we grow our New Zealand based software department.

Key Requirements:
- Have a degree in Computer Science, AI, Machine Learning, or a related field.
- Have a strong interest in neural networks, computer vision, or applied
machine learning.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently, taking initiative to solve
problems and improve processes without constant supervision.
- Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
- Good communication skills and team-oriented mindset.
- Experience with image editing or annotation tools is a plus (but not required).
- Ability to work from our office in Mangere Bridge.
- Existing right to live and work in New Zealand without Sponsorship.

Nice to haves:
- Experience with image labelling/annotating.
