We have an exciting opportunity for a Learning Design and Development Consultant to join our high performing team of learning professionals, who are challenging the status quo by defining the future of how learning is delivered to our people, to ensure they are future fit, have a growth mindset and boost overall capability.
Te tūranga | The role:
As a highly skilled and experienced Learning Design & Development Consultant within our People team you will work collaboratively with our Financial Crime Operations (FCO) division to ensure the successful development and implementation of learning solutions. This is a new role supporting this business division and will be a part of an extended team delivery capability uplift across our FCO teams.
Core responsibilities of the role include:
- Manage all phases of a learning project life cycle including stakeholder management, needs analysis, instructional design, development and implementation, evaluation, and reporting.
- Engage with key business partners such as the Financial Crime Operations capability team, ASB's HR systems team, Subject Matter Experts content owners.
- Consult with the business to determine requirements and related learning needs.
- Create and implement learning solutions that allow for precise tracking and measurement of the business impact and quality of learning programs.
- Support the FCO Training & Capability Manager with associated reporting using an established framework.
- Ensure all learning offerings are up to date and relevant, supporting ongoing maintenance of existing collateral.
- At times you may also support the design and development of bank-wide initiatives where required.
- Contribute to the functioning of a high-performance learning community through sharing knowledge and feedback to ensure continuous improvement of the learning function at ASB.
Ō pūkenga | About you:
As an experienced L&D professional you will have proven experience in applying instructional design theory and principles to design blended learning solutions for a variety of business needs. You will be experienced in using a range of learning software applications such as Articulate 360 (Storyline and Rise 360), Cornerstone Learning Management System, SharePoint, MS Office suite etc) to develop and maintain learning resources. You will also have experience in training facilitation, presenting, and the development of resources to support this activity.
In addition to the above, and the core responsibilities of the role, you will bring the following:
- Proactive and confident approach to stakeholder management and the timely resolution of queries.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with colleagues outside your direct team.
- Intermediate understanding of the design and application of competency frameworks within a learning context.
- Experience using Learning Management Systems to deploy, track and report on learning initiatives.
- Excellent written skills are a core requirement for the role as you will be crafting or editing other people's content for online material, assessments, and websites and instructor led training.
