We are a mid-sized, family owned and operated Joinery business located in Hamilton. We manage most of the production phases in our factory, cutting on our CNC, edging, assembling and finishing in our in-house painting facility and then our installation team ensures our work is skilfully installed on the customer site.

We are currently looking to replace our Production Manager who is leaving the role after 20+ years with our company, as he is relocating out of the region. This is a rare opportunity to step up and become the go-to authority for joinery in the region.

You'll be responsible for managing the manufacturing and installation aspects of our commercial interior joinery / cabinetry. You'll be running the factory team, and liaising with construction and shop fitting companies on large commercial projects (hospitals, schools, offices, factory buildings, commercial spaces etc).

We can offer the successful candidate:

  • Full time, permanent salaried role (Monday to Thursday - 6:30am - 5pm)
  • Early finish on a Friday (around 2:00pm)
  • Christmas shut-down of 3 weeks every year

To be considered for this opportunity, you'll need to be a qualified and experienced Joiner and have experience working in the New Zealand construction industry (specifically within commercial joinery production).

You'll also need to demonstrate:

  • A current drivers licence (experience towing a trailer highly regarded)
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Clear English communication skills (over the phone and in person)
  • Confidence making technical decisions and talking through limitations with customers
  • The ability to visualise 'how' to build 3 storey feature walls and beautiful curved joinery items (not just boxes)
  • Competent computer skills
  • High standards of professionalism and personal presentation
