Job Description

The Communication Manager is a highly professional, experienced, and qualified individual responsible for developing and implementing strategic communication initiatives that align with the organization’s vision, mission, and objectives. This role requires a deep understanding of public relations, corporate communications, media management, brand positioning, and stakeholder engagement. The Communication Manager will lead internal and external communication efforts to enhance brand visibility, reputation management, and audience engagement through traditional and digital platforms.

Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Communication & Planning
 Develop and implement a comprehensive communication strategy to align with the
organization mission, goals, and values.
 Create and execute annual communication plans, including media, public relations, social media, and crisis communication strategies.
 Ensure consistent messaging across all communication channels and materials.
 Conduct regular market and audience research to tailor communication strategies
effectively.

Media Relations & Public Relations
 Establish and maintain strong relationships with media representatives, journalists, and key influencers.
 Prepare press releases, media kits, speeches, and talking points for leadership and
stakeholders.
 Organize and coordinate press conferences, interviews, and media events.
 Monitor media coverage and develop response strategies to manage public perception and mitigate potential risks.

Internal & External Communication
 Develop internal communication strategies to enhance employee engagement and
information sharing.
 Oversee the creation and distribution of newsletters, reports, and internal announcements.
 Facilitate executive communication, including speeches, presentations, and reports.
 Manage stakeholder communication, including government entities, partners, donors, and the public.

Digital and Social Media Management
 Oversee the development and execution of digital marketing campaigns across social media, websites, and email platforms.
 Manage website content, ensuring timely updates, SEO optimization, and brand consistency.
 Track analytics and KPIs to measure digital campaign effectiveness and audience
engagement.
 Create and manage content calendars for social media platforms, ensuring high engagement and brand visibility.

Branding & Corporate Identity
 Maintain and enhance brand identity through consistent visual and verbal messaging.
 Ensure adherence to brand guidelines across all communication materials and platforms.
 Collaborate with design teams to develop visually appealing content, including brochures, presentations, and advertisements.

Crisis Communication & Reputation Management
 Develop crisis communication plans to address potential threats to the organization’s
reputation.
 Serve as the primary point of contact during crisis situations, ensuring timely and
appropriate responses.
 Monitor public sentiment and address negative feedback proactively.

Event Management & Public Speaking
 Plan and execute corporate events, conferences, and stakeholder meetings.
 Represent the organization at public events, industry forums, and networking opportunities.
 Prepare leadership for public speaking engagements and media interviews.
Stakeholder Engagement & Community Relations
 Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including government agencies,
NGOs, investors, and the community.
 Develop outreach programs to foster community involvement and engagement.
 Act as a liaison between the organization and external partners to promote collaboration.

Budget & Resource Management
 Develop and manage communication budgets, ensuring cost-effective use of resources.
 Coordinate with vendors, consultants, and agencies to support communication initiatives.
 Oversee procurement and production of marketing materials and promotional items.

Qualifications & Experience:
 Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field.
 Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in corporate communications, PR, or related roles.
 Proven track record of managing high-profile communication campaigns.
 Experience working with media outlets and digital platforms.
 Proficiency in communication tools, CRM systems, and analytics software.
 Previous experience in a leadership or managerial role preferred.

Preferred Qualifications:
 Experience in a non-profit, governmental, or international organization.
 Familiarity with regulatory and compliance communication frameworks.
 Multilingual abilities are an advantage.
 Certification in Public Relations or Digital Marketing is a plus.

Work Environment & Conditions:
 Hybrid or remote work flexibility (as applicable).
 Occasional travel for media events, conferences, and stakeholder meetings.
 Ability to work outside normal business hours when necessary.
