Job Description

I have partnered with a leading organisation in the security solutions industry that are looking for a talented Business Development Manager strong experience in data analysis to join their team in Wellington. This role requires someone who can leverage data-driven insights to guide strategic decisions and drive business growth. The ideal individual will be adept at interpreting market trends, analysing performance metrics, and identifying new opportunities. By using data to optimise sales strategies and target key clients, this role will play a critical role in improving operational efficiency, uncovering business strengths and weaknesses, and ensuring the company remains competitive in the market.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive new business by building and maintaining relationships with key clients.
  • Develop strategies to identify growth opportunities and expand the customer base across Wellington, Wairarapa, and Hawkes Bay.
  • Analyse market trends, business performance, and competitor activities. Use data to create actionable insights that help shape the company's strategy and sales approach.
  • Leverage data to assess the strengths and weaknesses of the business, identify market gaps, and recommend improvements to optimise operations and profitability.
  • Stay ahead of industry trends and competitor movements, ensuring that the company is positioned effectively in the market.
  • Work closely with internal teams to align business development strategies with overall organisational goals and ensure the smooth execution of client projects.


What you will need to succeed:

  • Proven experience in business development or sales, ideally within the fire and security industry or a related field.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to extract insights from data and apply them to business strategy.
  • A deep understanding of market trends and the ability to use data to identify opportunities for growth and improvement.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to foster relationships and influence key stakeholders.
  • Self-motivated, strategic, and comfortable working both independently and collaboratively within a team.
