The Role | Mō tēnei tūranga mahi
Join our team as a Mātanga Tapuhi (Nurse Practitioner) at Pathways. We are seeking a dedicated professional to provide clinical leadership in OST and/or Withdrawal Management.
This role involves assessing complex cases and conducting case reviews, as well as offering clinical input to tangata whai ora and taiohi across all Wairarapa Pathways and Real Services.
These services include Residential Housing and Recovery, Community Mobile Team, Residential Mental Health Respite and Social Detox, AOD/OST service, and Real Youth Service. Additionally, the successful candidate will mentor nurses and lead special interest groups.
Some of your responsibilities will include:
- Demonstrate advanced comprehensive health assessment skills and diagnostic decision-making relevant to Mental Health and Addictions.
- Deliver quality nursing care in line with registration and current practicing certificate competency requirements of NCNZ.
- Lead culturally appropriate and sensitive projects that support a culture that fosters whai ora/whānau centred care.
- Role model excellent safety and wellbeing practices by reporting identified workplace incidents, near misses and/or hazards through the safety and wellbeing.
- Hours include: Monday to Friday 8:30 am to 5:00pm.
About You | Mōu
You will be:
- Registered with the Nursing Council New Zealand as a Nurse Practitioner
- Hold a current Annual practicing Certificate
- Recent extensive (proven) clinical experience in Mental Health and Addictions at an advanced level.
- Demonstrated ability to articulate evidence-based expertise to a multidisciplinary team.
