Job Description

Waipapa Pine, part of Fletcher Building, is a well-established producer of high-quality sawn timber products located in Northland, with sites in Waipapa and Whangārei. Over the years, we’ve had a heavy focus on supporting employment opportunities for the people of Northland. Join us now and be part of our exciting growth path.

Right now, we are looking for keen, dedicated staff to join our Production Teams as Mill Hands at our Whangarei Sawmill. In this role you will pull, stack and handle timber in our mill to support day to day timber processing operations. You will work five days per week, between Monday to Friday with weekends free. Usual hours of work are between 6am – 4pm, averaging 45.5hrs per week.

  • If you have the following, we would love to hear from you:
  • Be physically fit and able to repeatedly lift and stack heavy timber all day.
  • Previous experience in a sawmill is preferred but not required, however experience in hands on labour intensive roles a must.
  • Commitment to workplace safety.
  • Full Drivers Licence with reliable transport.
  • Stable work history and commitment to long term work.
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and drug test.
