Job Description

Join Our Team as a Part Time Social Media Coordinator & Content Creator!

Are you a creative storyteller with a passion for social media and all things food? Do you love crafting engaging content that sparks conversation and drives sales? If so, we’d love to hear from you!

About the Role
At Milly’s Kitchen, we’re on the lookout for a talented Social Media Coordinator & Content Creator. In this role, you’ll be responsible for planning, creating, and implementing engaging content that aligns with our marketing strategy - all with the goal of increasing brand awareness, boosting engagement, and ultimately driving sales. We envisage the role would be one day a week (or 32 hours a month) and we’re flexible as to timing and location but there will need to be some time spent with the team in our Ponsonby store from time to time.

What You’ll Do
• Create & Implement social media content that aligns with our promotional calendar and overall marketing goals.
• Manage the Content Calendar, ensuring a consistent and engaging presence across platforms.
• Collaborate with Our Senior Leadership Team to develop creative campaigns for promotions and seasonal highlights.
• Monitor Social Media Trends and suggest innovative ways to enhance our digital presence.
• Track & Report on Performance, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.

What We’re Looking For
• Proven experience in content creation and social media marketing. We have a rich source of supplier assets so not all content needs to be created from scratch – sometimes we just need a Milly’s ‘twist’.
• A solid understanding of social media platforms—particularly Meta (Facebook & Instagram), YouTube, and Google My Business.
• Proficiency in Canva and other content creation tools.
• A keen eye for design, branding, and audience engagement.
• An interest in retail, food, and cookware would be a huge plus!

This is an exciting opportunity to bring your creativity to a much-loved brand while working in a fun and food-loving environment. If you love social media, great content, and the world of cooking, we’d love to have you on board.
