Job Description:
This role must commence on Tuesday the 7th or Wed 8th of Jan due to our training and on-boarding schedules.

We're seeking a dynamic Senior Accounts Officer reporting to the COO and MD working within the finance department and offers career growth opportunities.
The role includes
Accounts Payable:
- Review, verify, and process incoming invoices from vendors, ensuring proper documentation and approval before payment.
- Match purchase orders to invoices and resolve any discrepancies.
- Prepare and process weekly payment runs.Maintain accurate records of all payables and ensure payments are made within established terms.
- Manage vendor relationships, addressing inquiries, and resolving disputes.
- Reconcile accounts payable aging reports and assist in month-end close activities.
Accounts Receivable:
•
Generate and send out customer invoices, ensuring accuracy in billing terms, amounts, and due dates.
• Monitor and manage outstanding customer balances, following up on overdue accounts and resolving any payment issues.
• Process customer payments and apply them to appropriate accounts.
• Maintain records of all receivables and ensure accurate tracking of aging reports.
• Assist with the preparation of financial statements, particularly related to AR collections and outstanding balances.
Payroll Support:
- Support payroll functions on a weekly basis as required.
What We’re Looking For:
- A minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in both accounts payable and accounts receivable within a medium to large sized corporation in New Zealand.
Skills:
- Proven experience in Xero or similar accounting software.
- Proficiency in MS Excel- Intermediate to advanced user
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal with proficiency in English.
- Ability to handle confidential financial information with discretion and integrity.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to multi task in a fast-paced environment.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in all aspects of the role.
- Strong time management skills essential toe met strict and imperative deadlines each week and month.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
- A proactive and customer-focused approach to vendor and client relations
- High level of integrity, reliability, and professionalism.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

- Must be valid to work in New Zealand.
- Available for an immediate start on the 7th or8th if Jan
- Have a clan criminal conviction report
- Can provide reliable work-based referees
