Job Description

The Company

  • My client is a multidisciplinary engineering and surveying consultancy with offices across New Zealand. The company is a Survey Spatial NZ member and an Engineering NZ Professional Development Partner.
  • No two days are ever the same as their work is project based. You will get the opportunity to work on projects of varying scale, across multiple sectors and face a new set of exciting challenges with each project.
  • They work across the residential, commercial, industrial, community, recreational, health and education sectors including international projects for the developing world to support socio economic development.
  • Due to an increasing workload, they have a position available for a Cadastral Surveyor to join their team. You will be involved in an interesting array of projects across land, engineering and construction surveying across the Auckland region.
  • Projects include a mixture of land development plus survey project support for the geotechnical, structural, civil and environmental teams. Projects are a mixture of domestic and international projects. They have a very secure pipeline of work and a professional working environment.


The Role

  • Undertake the survey/planning input for projects, preparation of resource consents and submission to required Local Authority for approval, managing project and liaison with staff as required.
  • Undertake cadastral land transfer survey work, peer review work of others, lodge digital lodgements, and receive approval as to survey by Land Information NZ
  • Establish and maintain relationship with clients
  • Complete Fee Proposals for prospective clients
  • Establish and maintain relationship with clients
  • Supervise, train and mentor graduates and junior staff
  • Assist with review of Companies QA processes for survey related work
