Technical Facilities Manager

We are looking for an experienced and results-driven Technical Facilities Manager to lead and maintain our building services. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in Facilities Management and a strong understanding of the Building Act, compliance codes, and Health and Safety standards relevant to the built environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and maintain building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, etc.), ensuring compliance with safety standards and regulations.
  • Develop and implement asset management and preventative maintenance plans to maximize the lifespan and efficiency of assets.
  • Oversee procurement, manage contractor relationships (PCBU Management), and ensure compliance with contract terms.
  • Monitor budgets, manage financial resources, and provide regular reports to ensure cost-effectiveness.
  • Contribute to project management for small-scale projects, ensuring they meet quality, budget, and timeline requirements.
  • Lead and engage teams, make sound decisions, and drive innovation for continuous improvement in facility operations.


What We're Looking For:

  • Extensive experience in Facilities Management with a focus on technical services.
  • A solid understanding of the Building Act and codes of compliance.
  • In-depth knowledge of Health and Safety requirements within the built environment.
  • Proven experience in procurement, contract management, and managing relationships with external contractors.
  • A track record of contributing to asset management and preventative maintenance planning.
  • Experience in managing small projects, with a sound understanding of project management methodologies.
  • Financial acumen, including budget management and cost optimization.
  • Strong leadership, decision-making, and communication skills.
