Job Description

Are you a hands-on worker who enjoys being outdoors and keeping things organized? Tradestaff is seeking a Yards Person for one of our valued clients.
If you’re reliable, hardworking, and looking for a role where no two days are the same, this is the opportunity for you!

About the Role:As a Yards Person, you’ll be responsible for maintaining an organized and efficient yard environment. From moving materials to assisting with general yard duties, this is a key role for someone who thrives in a physical, fast-paced setting.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Loading and unloading materials and equipment.
  • Organizing and maintaining the yard to ensure efficiency and safety.
  • Assisting with stock control and inventory checks.
  • Operating forklifts and other machinery (if licensed).
  • Ensuring health and safety procedures are followed at all times.
  • Providing excellent customer service when interacting with staff and clients.


What We’re Looking For:

  • Previous experience in a similar role or a strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
  • Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling tasks.
  • Forklift license (advantageous but not essential).
  • Reliable and punctual with a great attitude.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • A commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
  • Full NZ driver’s license (preferred).
