Job Description

We are currently looking for experienced Support Workers to work with our client based in Wiri. Our client has spinal muscular atrophy (wheelchair bound) . Due to the complexity of cares commitment to the shifts is vital. They need assistance with daily chores, personal care, dressing, grooming and community support. This is more than just a job – you will be providing invaluable support.

This is a role where no two days are the same. You will have the ability to work one on one with our clients, to ensure they live their best life possible.

Requirements:

  • Competency in spinal muscular atrophy.
  • Assisting clients with personal cares.
  • Confident to handle cares independently.
  • Must have a clean and valid NZ driving licence.
  • Must be eligible to work in NZ.
  • Subject to clean police clearance check.
  • Able to commit to the shifts.
  • Training will be provided.


Tasks:

  • Constant monitoring of spinal muscular atrophy.
  • Hoist competent (sling/standing)
  • Personal cares, Home help and Meal preparation


Shifts:

Day Shifts Mon to Fri 7-9am OR 8-10am

Evening Shift Sat & Sun 7:30-8:30pm *with an opportunity to pick up more shifts.
