We are looking for an enthusiastic Permanent Full time Chef to work at our site at NZDF- Burnham Military Camp, Canterbury.

Ko o kawenga / Your responsibilities:

In this position you will be responsible for preparing, cooking and serving good quality food, in conjunction with the contractual requirements of the unit You will also be assisting with general kitchen and cleaning duties.! A friendly and helpful nature is important to us, the customer and client.

If you're our perfect candidate, you will:

  • Be hard working, reliable, flexible and able to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment
  • Have excellent understanding of all hygiene, health and food safety practices in a food environment
  • Demonstrate a passion for food, people, customer service and quality.
  • Have excellent communication skills
  • Preferably hold food safety certificates (Unit Standard 167 & 168)
