About the Role:

Are you a passionate and qualified early childhood educator ready to make a lasting impact on young learners? BestStart is thrilled to offer permanent opportunities for amazing teachers to join our Dunedin centres, including our Montessori centres, in 2025!

We have permanent full-time positions available, working 40 hours per week, Monday–Friday. Whether your passion lies in working with under-2s or over-2s, we’ll match you with a role that aligns with your strengths.

Role requirements:

Bring your passion for teaching to a team committed to excellence. We're looking for educators with the following:

  • B Ed/Dip Teaching Level 7 (ECE) and current teacher registration/certification
  • Good understanding of child-led curriculum, planning and extending on our children's learning
  • Demonstrate good knowledge of the current ECE Regulations, Te Whariki and hold compliance in a high regard
  • A strong commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi through pedagogical practices
  • Passion and commitment for teaching and learning with a focus on delivering quality
