Morrell Motors is one of Taupo's longest standing Automotive Dealerships, operating since 1983. Morrell Motors is a multi-franchise Dealership, authorised agents for Mercedes-Benz, Subaru, KGM, LDV, Fiat, Alfa Romeo, RAM, Chrysler, Jeep & Dodge.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Service Manager to join our friendly, award winning and growing team at our KGM & LDV Service Centre.

To be successful in this position, your skills and attributes will include:

  • Experience as a Service Manager, Workshop Controller or Foreman
  • Excellent leadership skills with the ability to develop a culture for success
  • Experience with franchise level dealer management systems i.e. Orion, Magix etc
  • Experience with electronic parts catalogues
  • Excellent communication, verbal and written
  • Excellent customer service
  • A positive attitude
  • A current clean NZ Driver's Licence
  • A reliable and honest work ethic
  • A clean and tidy appearance
  • The ability to work well to deadlines and under pressure
  • The ability to work well in a team environment

This position's job description includes:

  • Assisting with opening and closing of the KGM & LDV Service Centre
  • Conduct daily Tool Box Meetings with Technicians
  • Welcoming customers upon arrival to the Service Centre
  • Taking service bookings and inputting data to DMS diary
  • Follow the process for creating repair orders
  • Create parts request forms and liaise with Parts Department on stock availability
  • Create accurate job estimates for customers
  • Checking in service customers and having them authorise repair orders
  • Communicate any customer concerns with Workshop Team Leader
  • Communicate up-sell opportunities with customers
  • Create workshop invoices for retail and trade customers
  • Complete thorough handover process at customer collection
  • Courtesy follow up calls to customers 48 hours after service
  • Assist with warranty processing
  • Monitor workshop productivity and efficiency
  • Monitor work in progress and report to Directors
  • Other general duties as requested from Management
  • Maintain a clean and safe workplace
  • Be courteous and polite to all customers and staff alike


This position is for a minimum of 42.5 hours per week. 7:45am - 5:15pm, Monday - Friday.
