We’re committed to providing exceptional support services for our clients and looking for an experienced, empathetic and outgoing Female Support Worker to join our team and work with one of our clients diagnosed with Tetraplegia and Vertebrae Neck Fracture based in Christchurch.
As a Support Worker, you will provide essential care and support to individuals with unique needs contributing to their overall wellbeing to lead fulfilling lives.
Key Requirements:
- Qualification in Healthcare, disability support or related field
- Competency in Hoist
- Competency in PEG Feed
- Competency in Trauma response
- Previous paediatric experience
- Own transport with a clean and valid Restricted/Full driver’s license
- Legitimate NZ work rights
- A clean Police check
- Well-prepared and organized
- Professionally presentable and respectful
Available Shifts:
Tuesday to Friday- 8:30 am to 2:30 pm (with the opportunity to pick up more shifts as they become available)
Responsibilities:
- Assist with household support- wash towels, vacuum/sweep/mop floors, makes beds and change linen, shopping if required
- Personal support- shower, dressing/undressing, bowel care/toileting, grooming such as personal care, bathing, PEG feeding
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals and family members to ensure comprehensive care
