Our client is seeking a new warehouse operator who wants a long and rewarding career in logistics with a small, dedicated team of professionals who work hard to exceed their clients' expectations daily. They handle a wide range of cargo and will provide ongoing training on all equipment and systems so you can progress in your career.

This is a permanent, full-time Monday- Friday position. You will need to be flexible and available to work additional hours during peak season (Dec-Feb).

The day-to-day responsibilities:

• Loading/unloading materials from containers, air units and trucks with forklifts and by hand.
• Carefully checking in / out freight in line with company SOP's, border agency & client requirements.
• Checking, stacking away & picking stock from ambient, chilled, frozen areas.
• Maintain a clean & organised work environment and follow company policies.
• General yard duties and supporting other team members and yard operations as needed.

The ideal candidate will have:

• Current OSH certificate and F endorsement, with at least 3 years' forklift experience.
• A great awareness and attitude towards Health and Safety.
• Ability to navigate and operate a computer
• A high level of accuracy and attention to detail
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
• Be physically fit and capable of heavy lifting

Bonus Skills:

• Dairy handling experience, including slipsheet loading
• MPI, AP accreditation
• Airfreight experience
• First aid certificate
• Previous forwarding or logistics roles
• Excellent remuneration is on offer, which will be based on skillset and experience.
