Our client is a leading financial organisation for ethical, Christian investments and lending. They are looking to appoint a Head of Lending who will be at the forefront of all lending initiatives and will lead a small team to oversee and manage the loan application process from enquiry through to settlement.

The role:

• Ensure credit is managed in compliance with the Credit Risk Policy.
• Manage the lending process within the CRM.
• Develop new and improved processes to improve the customer experience.
• Review credit assessments and maintain a high level of accuracy.
• Conduct and process credit assessments for larger clients with more complicated transactions.
• Has a strong relationship focus with lending clients.
• Cultivate new business opportunities with potential clients.
• Maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders including senior management and members of the lending committee.
• Ensure compliance with all AML/CFT regulations and monitor ongoing compliance.
• Provide detailed reports on loan applications and portfolio performance to management team.

The Person:

• Will be part of the leadership team and will provide guidance and support to the lending team.
• Must have values that align with the organisation and who can forge a strong relationship within the Christian network.
• Have an understanding of how churches and charities operate.
• Solid background in lending within the banking and finance sector.
• Strong understanding of credit analysis or a background in accounting or financial management.
• Have a strong work ethic and attitude.
• Be a big picture thinker.
