We’re looking for a talented and fully trained Barista to join our vibrant team at Wharerata Café & Coffee Cart, located at Massey University’s Manawatū Campus. Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and serve a range of specialty coffees with speed, precision, and care, ensuring consistency and excellence in every cup.
Provide an exceptional customer experience by engaging with guests and creating a welcoming, friendly atmosphere.
Maintain a clean, organised, and efficient workspace while adhering to food safety and quality standards.
Work efficiently under pressure, ensuring timely service without compromising the quality of drinks.
Assist with inventory management and general café duties as required.
What We’re Looking For:
Proven experience as a Barista with a deep understanding of coffee preparation, espresso techniques, and the art of crafting high-quality beverages.
A passion for coffee, with the ability to create and deliver consistently perfect drinks, even during busy times.
Strong attention to detail, ensuring that each coffee is made to the highest standard.
A customer-focused approach, with the ability to provide excellent service in a fast-paced setting.
Ability to collaborate well with team members, maintaining a positive and efficient work environment.
This is a permanent, part-time position (20 hours per week) with a salary range of $48,880 – $50,960 per annum (pro-rated based on hours worked).
