Join Our Team as a Skilled Barista at Wharerata Café & Coffee Cart, Massey University.
We’re looking for a talented and fully trained Barista to join our vibrant team at Wharerata Café & Coffee Cart, located at Massey University’s Manawatū Campus. If you’re a dedicated coffee enthusiast who thrives in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in delivering high-quality coffee, we want to hear from you!

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and serve a range of specialty coffees with speed, precision, and care, ensuring consistency and excellence in every cup.
• Provide an exceptional customer experience by engaging with guests and creating a welcoming, friendly atmosphere.
• Maintain a clean, organised, and efficient workspace while adhering to food safety and quality standards.
• Work efficiently under pressure, ensuring timely service without compromising the quality of drinks.
• Assist with inventory management and general café duties as required.

What We’re Looking For:

• Proven experience as a Barista with a deep understanding of coffee preparation, espresso techniques, and the art of crafting high-quality beverages.
• A passion for coffee, with the ability to create and deliver consistently perfect drinks, even during busy times.
• Strong attention to detail, ensuring that each coffee is made to the highest standard.
• A customer-focused approach, with the ability to provide excellent service in a fast-paced setting.
• Ability to collaborate well with team members, maintaining a positive and efficient work environment.

This is a permanent, part-time position (20 hours per week) with a salary range of $48,880 – $50,960 per annum (pro-rated based on hours worked).
