Overview

We are seeking an experienced Cabinet Maker to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in joinery assembly and cabinet making, with the ability to wet spray being a bonus. This position requires someone who is reliable, possesses excellent time management skills, communicates effectively, and is conscientious about health and safety.

Responsibilities

• Construct and repair cabinets, furniture, fixtures, and other high-quality products from variety of materials
• Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
• Select materials and create cutting lists
• Operate machinery and hand tools
• Wet spray finishes on cabinet components as needed
• Ensure adherence to health and safety standards
• Collaborate with team members and communicate effectively with supervisors and clients

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a joiner or cabinet maker
• Ability to wet spray a definite plus
• Strong knowledge of techniques, materials, and tools
• Excellent time management and organisational skills
• Clear communication and interpersonal abilities
• Attention to detail and quality
• Health and safety conscious
• Physically fit and able to lift heavy materials

Day-to-Day

• Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials to build cabinets and other products
• Operate machinery such as saws, drills, and sanders
• Wet spray finishes on cabinet components as required
• Communicate with colleagues and supervisors to ensure efficient workflow
• Maintain a clean and organised workspace
• Follow health and safety guidelines at all times
