The Role

In this role you will have overall responsibility for end-to-end planning through demand, supply, and inventory, for your respective category or categories.

The position is best suited to an individual who has experience in demand/inventory planning within a consumer goods business. Working collaboratively with local and global stakeholders across our product lines this role will give you the opportunity to gain deeper insights and have more influence on results for your category.

Reporting to the National Planning and Inventory Manager, you will capture peaks and troughs in the forecast around sale performance, promotional activity and seasonality, while managing and monitoring incoming and outgoing stock to ensure the right levels of inventory are in the right place.

This is where you come in: 

Work cross-functionally to deliver accurate and timely demand plans to support market strategy, ensuring Spares inventory levels meet demand. Identify and address Spares inventory supply issues in line with company business rules, liaising with Global Supply Chain, CEX and Operations teams to reduce backorders, slow moving, and obsolete stock.

Communication is a key element to the role with preparation of daily, weekly, monthly spares inventory reporting, providing insights and recommendations.

Collaborate with global supply chain for continuous improvement opportunities, ensuring alignment with Global Supply Chain strategy and initiatives.

About you

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in complex manufacturing or Supply Chain business, ideally within a Global, multi-national organisation in a demand planning and inventory management function.
  • Experience in planning and inventory management with an in depth understanding of general supply chain principles.
  • Proven influencing skills with a track record of building sustained partnerships.
  • Excellent ability interpreting data and communicating insights to the business in a meaningful way
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills. JD Edwards system (JDE) knowledge desirable.
