ABOUT THE ROLE

Reporting to the TTM Manager, The Traffic Operations Manager is responsible for the safe, efficient, and compliant delivery of road maintenance traffic management services. This role involves operational leadership, financial oversight, and team development to ensure projects meet safety, quality, and budget goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage traffic management teams, ensuring high performance, safety, and compliance with NZGTTM/COPTTM standards.
  • Oversee project budgets, cost controls, and financial reporting to ensure profitability.
  • Monitor and report on project performance, ensuring deadlines and quality standards are met.
  • Recruit, train, and mentor team members, fostering a culture of excellence and accountability.
  • Collaborate with clients to understand requirements and deliver quality outcomes.
  • Oversee compliance on TTM sites by conducting regular site visits and audits to ensure quality and safety standards are upheld.
  • Plan and schedule operations, optimizing resources for efficiency.
  • Manage two branches in Auckland and provide TTM services across various sectors, including Transport, Electrical and Gas, Telecommunications, Facility Management, and other clients.


ABOUT YOU

The ideal candidate will have proven leadership experience, including managing and developing teams, with a strong ability to drive performance and foster a collaborative work environment. They should possess solid financial acumen, with experience in budget management, cost control, and financial reporting. A thorough understanding of traffic management practices, including NZGTTM and COPTTM standards, are essential. Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills are key, as well as exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities, particularly in client relationship management. A relevant STMS certification and a full driver’s license are required and previous experience in both management and traffic management is essential for success in this role.
