The Junior Account Manager for Outside In's priority will be to address customers' needs and concerns as quickly and effectively as possible to develop and maintain strong relationships with your allocated group of clients.

Objectives of this Role

  • Act as the main point of contact in matters relating to client concerns and needs, precisely, but not limited to C, D and E clients
  • Build and strengthen client relationships to achieve long-term partnerships
  • Work with the design team and other internal teams to develop greenery proposals, quotes and visuals to ensure your clients have a beautiful space
  • Achieve the KPIs set with your team leader
  • Develop a thorough understanding of our products and service offerings to upsell better and cross-sell clients.
  • Maintain accurate client records, keeping track of contract updates and renewals.


Daily and Weekly Responsibilities of this role

  • Act in a manner that is always in accordance with the company’s vision, values, goals
  • Manage and develop strong relationships with the C, D and E clients
  • Work in tandem with your squad to resolve client/plant issues and improve service standards
  • Achieve all regular client interaction cycles (eg face to face meetings)
  • Quickly solve clients’ issues and problems as they arise.
  • Negotiate new terms and conditions with clients when required
  • Work to achieve company and client goals simultaneously
  • Identify new sales opportunities by upselling and cross selling with existing accounts
  • Generate sales and contribute towards the company’s sales targets
  • Liaise with team members as appropriate to communicate client expectations
  • Work with design team to help clients achieve beautiful greenery
  • Be an active team member, by contributing to the sales and design team with ideas to improve service quality, productivity and to grow our customer base
  • Weekly reporting with your manager to discuss all new and existing business
  • Job costing, quoting, and doing sales presentations
  • Effective handing over of new jobs to the installation team
  • Liaise with sales team colleagues and the installation team to ensure customer-specific requirements are addressed in an appropriate and personalised manner
  • Manage all client details and interactions in a CRM for the allocated client group
  • Re-sign clients at the end of the current contracts
  • Work strategically to retain clients
  • Understand overall the Outside In objectives, as well as the role and function of each team member and how the team interacts
  • Interact with customers at a technical level, as required
  • Ensuring all activities are completed safely and following company health and safety policies
  • Travel throughout New Zealand as required to manage Key Accounts
  • Support the lead account manager in your squad with larger clients and other needs as required
  • Any other duties as directed by management


Ideally, you will be able to demonstrate experience in the following areas:

  • Able to work collaboratively in a close-knit team
  • experience in customer service or account management role
  • Solution-focused, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Good computer skills
  • A good eye for design
  • Full NZ Driver’s License
