Personal Trainer Contractor – Group Fitness & PT
Location: Reliberate Fitness Home Studio, Parklands, Christchurch, NZ
Position Type: Part-Time Contractor

About Us
Reliberate Fitness is a size-inclusive, empowering fitness studio in Parklands dedicated to helping women lose fat, build strength, and create sustainable fitness habits. We provide a supportive, non-intimidating environment for beginners that champions realistic, long-term results—without calorie counting, fad diets, or extreme exercise regimes.

The Role
We’re looking for a passionate Personal Trainer Contractor to lead group fitness classes, for the right person, there is an opportunity to work under the Reliberate Fitness brand as a subcontractor, training your own clients in our well-equipped home studio.

Commitment:
4-6 hours of group classes every second week (Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday evenings), with opportunities to cover leave or expand your own PT client base as a Reliberate Fitness subcontractor

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead safe, inclusive, and engaging group fitness classes for all levels
  • Deliver structured, goal-oriented workouts aligned with Reliberate Fitness values
  • Build strong connections with clients, offering encouragement and tailored feedback
  • Manage your PT clients independently while utilising studio resources
  • Maintain studio cleanliness and organisation *Support Reliberate’s mission and values through collaboration and brand-aligned social media content


What We’re Looking For
*Certified Personal Trainer (NZ Level 4 Certificate in Fitness or equivalent)
*Current First Aid & CPR certification
*Minimum 3 months of experience in personal training and/ or group fitness
*A positive, body-inclusive coaching approach - if you love to count macros and do fad workouts, we are not the space for you
*Strong communication and be open to developing coaching skills
*Ability to modify workouts for different fitness levels
*Must reside in New Zealand on date of application and be eligible to work locally
*Ability to work every second Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday evening
