What will you be doing with us?'

We have an opportunity of Food & Beverage Supervisor/ Cook to join our team at Wairarapa Hospital, Masterton. Permanent Full-time role, working 32 hours per week, Saturday to Tuesday.

You will be responsible for:

  • to supervise the performance of F&B team members
  • ensuring that all tasks associated with food service, beverage services and general customer service are performed with due regard for all Health and Safety and Food Safety regulations
  • providing excellent customer service
  • to manage stock and deliveries arriving which would include lifting heavy packages
  • prepare single special items and bulk dishes for patient meals
  • assist with ordering and stock rotation
  • comply with Food safety standards and have a good understanding of food allergens
  • assist with general kitchen and cleaning duties.


Ideal skills and experience:

  • will be hard working,
  • have immaculate personal presentation and high standards of cleanliness,
  • a team player but also able to work autonomously,
  • with a friendly outgoing personality and a 'can do' attitude,
  • at least 2 years' previous supervisory experience and hold a food safety certificate (Unit Standard 167), or be happy to be train for one.
