Job Description

In this role you would be responsible for:

  • Assisting the chef with preparation of food
  • Providing excellent customer service skills
  • Ensuring kitchen and serving area is kept immaculate
  • Adhering to all cleaning rosters and food safety procedures at all times


The successful candidates will need to:

  • Be experienced in a similar role
  • Have some baking skills
  • Demonstrate excellent and professional customer service
  • Ideally hold a food safety certificate (NZQA 167)
  • Be hardworking with good communication skills
  • Good English communication skills is essential
  • Physically fit and reliable
  • Be able to work independently and as a team player with a proactive 'can do' attitude
  • Have a safety focus and an awareness of health and safety practices and protocols

If you're our successful candidate;

  • You will have high standards in personal presentation, highly empathetic and compassionate as well as a have a friendly, helpful, outgoing personality with a 'can do' attitude.
  • Have an interest in supporting others and providing exceptional levels of service and have a natural affinity with people in an aged care facility.
  • You will demonstrate good working knowledge of commercial cleaning and infection control procedures and be flexible to work under short notice.
  • Ideally you will have previous cleaning experience in an aged care environment.
  • Most importantly you will demonstrate a passion for customer service and quality.
