Our client is on the hunt for an experienced Network Technical Product Owner to join their dynamic Networks Team. This role is a unique opportunity to drive the strategic roadmap for network services, working closely with Product Management and key stakeholders. The successful candidate will be instrumental in managing relationships with multiple council-controlled organisations (CCOs) and key partners. As the network is fully outsourced, you'll also oversee vendor relationships to ensure optimal performance, cost-effectiveness, and alignment with business objectives.

What you'll do:

  • Develop, maintain, and communicate the product roadmap for network services aligned with strategic objectives.
  • Translate high-level goals into actionable product increments.
  • Collaborate with technical and non-technical teams to refine requirements.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for internal teams and external customers.
  • Establish strong relationships and manage expectations by understanding each stakeholder’s needs.
  • Oversee partnerships with the outsourced network service provider.
  • Collaborate with architecture, engineers, Technical Services and partner teams to ensure solutions align with technical standards.
  • Analyse performance metrics and feedback from various sources to identify improvement opportunities.
  • Identify, track, and manage risks associated with network services.

What you bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or related field.
  • 5+ years in a Product Owner or similar role focusing on networking or infrastructure.
  • Proven success in managing outsourced vendors and complex stakeholder ecosystems.
  • Familiarity with network infrastructure (LAN, WAN, SD-WAN, wireless, network security).
  • Understanding of Agile or Scrum methodologies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to influence cross-functional teams without direct authority.
  • Capable of translating complex technical requirements into meaningful business outcomes.
