Our client is on the hunt for an experienced Network Technical Product Owner to join their dynamic Networks Team. This role is a unique opportunity to drive the strategic roadmap for network services, working closely with Product Management and key stakeholders. The successful candidate will be instrumental in managing relationships with multiple council-controlled organisations (CCOs) and key partners. As the network is fully outsourced, you'll also oversee vendor relationships to ensure optimal performance, cost-effectiveness, and alignment with business objectives.
What you'll do:
Develop, maintain, and communicate the product roadmap for network services aligned with strategic objectives.
Translate high-level goals into actionable product increments.
Collaborate with technical and non-technical teams to refine requirements.
Serve as the primary point of contact for internal teams and external customers.
Establish strong relationships and manage expectations by understanding each stakeholder’s needs.
Oversee partnerships with the outsourced network service provider.
Collaborate with architecture, engineers, Technical Services and partner teams to ensure solutions align with technical standards.
Analyse performance metrics and feedback from various sources to identify improvement opportunities.
Identify, track, and manage risks associated with network services.
What you bring:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or related field.
5+ years in a Product Owner or similar role focusing on networking or infrastructure.
Proven success in managing outsourced vendors and complex stakeholder ecosystems.
Familiarity with network infrastructure (LAN, WAN, SD-WAN, wireless, network security).
Understanding of Agile or Scrum methodologies.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to influence cross-functional teams without direct authority.
Capable of translating complex technical requirements into meaningful business outcomes.
