Mō te Tūranga | About the role  

The Customer Tribe work across ASB Bank to drive automation for a variety of initiatives through specialist software. The tribe is a mix of collaborative experts who simply love enabling automation, making life easy for ASBers and our Customers. 

As a Software Engineer in Customer Tribe, you'll be responsible for developing and supporting our CRM system. Being part of Engineering Practice at ASB we encourage our teams to work autonomously in an Agile way while actively growing their skills and expertise to continuously improve outcomes for our customers.

You'll have an opportunity to get hands-on with some interesting and complex pieces of work that integrate on an enterprise scale level, all while being part of smaller squads in our Tribe maintaining a high level of service and availability for our CRM system.

We'll value your proven initiative, technical mastery, problem solving abilities and ways in which you have shown leadership while performing your role. You will be an excellent communicator and can articulate trade-offs between technologies and influence and challenge the SDLC. 

Your positivity, all-around nice-person-ness, and excellent communication skills enable you to share your knowledge with others and actively participate in building capability wherever you go. 

We are looking for a mix of technical skills to support the following activities:   

  • 1 to 4 year of commercial software development experience
  • Proficient as a C# .NET Developer using .NET / .NET standard
  • Experience in JavaScript and MVC pattern.
  • Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines like ADO Pipelines, GitHub Action. 
  • Knowledge of REST API / Microservices.
  • Good understanding of working in Agile environment.   

 
Preferred Skills (Nice to Have)

  • Knowledge of Cloud technologies like AWS, Azure. 
  • Knowledge of design patterns for scalability, performance, and reliability.
  • CRM experience. 
  • Passionate about learning with growth mindset.
