We are actively seeking a new Field Manager to join our team based in Wellington reporting directly to the Regional Operations Manager. The principal purpose of the Field Manager role is to provide effective leadership to a team of Field Technicians to ensure that we have a highly motivated and productive workforce consistently delivering against our customer commitments

ABOUT THE ROLE

  • Supervising the activities of the Field Technicians to achieve productivity targets and provide customers with quality service
  • Ensure clear expectations are communicated to staff and that these are consistent with the business vision, business plan and work group priorities
  • Ensuring that we meet all KPI’s and SLA targets in line with our business objectives
  • Ensuring compliance with all company policy, standards, and procedures
  • Fostering the development of team
  • Monitor workplace health and safety risks, and work with individual Field Technicians staff on how to minimise or eliminate these risks
  • Develop performance development plans with staff to ensure ongoing development of staff and to rectify performance problems where necessary
  • Create an environment of commitment to the Downer culture and vision by communicating the direction that drives team success and achieves company results and goals


ABOUT YOU

  • Level 4 NZQA qualification preferred, with demonstrable experience or potential to lead a technical
  • Field team in a service based industry
  • Supervisory Certificate or higher preferred, able to consistently demonstrate core management competencies
  • Formal Training in Health and Safety Management
