About us | Ko wai mātou
Our Kauri site was established in 1989 and is Fonterra’s northernmost site. The site produces a range of milk powders, butters, AMF and a range of specialty products. Kauri’s Skim Milk Powder evaporator remains the largest single stage evaporator in NZ!

About the opportunity | Te whiwhinga mahi
As our dairy farmers wake, so too do our team of talented, professional drivers as they prepare for the day ahead. With safety, customer service and quality at the forefront, it’s their role to get our milk from farm to factory.

About you | Ko wai koe
We really want to know that you are passionate about what you do and about being part of our team, so you will need to have:

  • A current and clean full Class 5 Driver Licence
  • Recent experience driving truck and trailer
  • Experience driving country roads and carrying live loads is highly desirable


Shift patterns consist of 4-day shifts, followed by 2 days off, and 4-night shifts, followed by 2 days off. Preferred candidates will be required to attend an in-person Assessment Centre.

You will need to supply proof of your eligibility to work in New Zealand.

Documents you can use are:

  • NZ passport; OR
  • NZ birth certificate AND Valid Photo ID (AND proof of name change if applicable e.g., Marriage Certificate); OR
  • Foreign passport with valid visa
  • Our recruitment process will include attendance at an assessment centre on August 15th and pre-employment checks (including drug and medical, reference check, right to work and a police check).
