Job Description
Te kōwhiringa | The Opportunity
As an Assistant Network Inspector based out of our New Plymouth depot, you’ll be our eyes and ears - responsible for identifying and logging faults of network carriageway and corridor assets. Your day-to-day tasks will include:
- Road inspections, recording fault defects and proposing suitable solutions
- Identification of risks and corrective actions where required
- Audit completed work by own crews and third-party contractors with a focus on quality and safety
- Ensure project operations achieve a superior level of safety performance
- Provide support to field staff on field programming tools such as Pocket RAMM.
- Occasionally assist with call-out work.
This role is a casual position where occasional travel away from home to carry out inspections may be required.
Nga pūkenga matua | Important Skills
Along with your positive attitude and your motivation to make a difference in the community, there are a few essentials skills that we’ll appreciate you bringing into this role:
- A Full Class 1 New Zealand driver’s licence
- Ideally, you will have experience in road maintenance, road construction or a similar field
- Experience in network inspection and fault identification is beneficial
- Experienced in RAMM software or the ability to learn computer systems
- Commitment to a high standard of Health & Safety
