In this role, the Deal Desk Specialist/Analyst will work with the Manager, Deal Desk and team to help build out the next phase of Deal Desk operations at Restaurant365. The Deal Desk Specialist/Analyst isa very important role within our Sales Operations group. You will be responsible for creating and maintaining accurate pricing and contract data inside the CPQ module of Salesforce. And will be responsible for assisting sales in navigating complex internal and/or external requirements to structure mutually beneficial agreements with prospects and customers.
This role will first focus on processing and approving standard and complex non-standard deals, activating billing, and enabling software features. And will be working on making the process more efficient, effective, and value-add being a key cross-functional figure working closely with key stakeholders across the Company. This position is a diligent and analytical critical thinker with a passion for working smart and who thrives in a fast-paced and collaborative environment. 

How you'll add value:

  • Serve as trusted advisor to the Sales team on deal structure and quoting, advises the team on alternative contract options and/or value propositioning to help drive deals to closure
  • Work cross-functionally to approve new sales quotes, orders, amendments, and contract renewals using Salesforce and Salesforce CPQ
  • Manage customer contracts and data in Salesforce, Workfront, Monday.com, and other systems as needed
  • Perform account reconciliations to ensure customer subscriptions are accurate and notify internal representatives and customers of account modifications
  • Assisting in documenting and offer recommendations to sales processes and policies using flowcharts and maintain document libraries 
  • Adhere to the product catalog, price books, and sales trading guidelines
  • Supports all commercial related activities including, but not limited to, deal structuring, contract creation, pricing, review, and approval for offers, contract management and providing support to field sales for quoting purposes
  • Act as a Sales-facing subject matter expert on process, policy, and pricing related matters
  • Manage pipeline integrity/accuracy, review CPQ cleanup dashboard regularly, and provide CPQ reporting as needed
  • Monitors and responds to Sales support case queue in FreshDesk/Salesforce, and deal-desk-team Slack channel consistently maintaining case SLAs
  • Partner with sales operations to participate in driving process improvements and system upgrades in all areas including Salesforce CPQ 
  • Assist Sales teams in creating and positioning complex orders, which involves acting as the liaison between Sales and other key stakeholders involved in the deal structuring process (e.g. Sales Operations, Finance, Legal, Service, etc.)
  • Must be open to working extended hours at month end, quarter end, and as needed
  • Partners with Sales Operations and Sales teams to facilitate process and system improvement
  • Perform additional deal desk activities related to the above, as may be required from time to time 
  • Other duties as assigned


What you'll need to be successful in this role:

  • At least 3+ years of demonstrated and related experience in any of the following areas: deal desk operations, sales, sales operations, order operations, financial operations, and/or revenue accounting for in the SaaS/B2B industry
  • Demonstrated ability to partner with GTM teams and other cross-functional departments
  • Proficient in MS Excel and in Salesforce CRM or CPQ
  • Strong business acumen, strong reporting and analytics, troubleshooting, problem-solving, and project management skills
  • Ability to think from both a strategic and tactical perspective
  • Basic understanding of revenue recognition rules
  • Excellent organization, time management and prioritization skills; ability to manage multiple, time-sensitive requests independently but also collaboratively with minimal supervision at times
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate and partners across the organization
  • Ability to exercise independent judgement and make business decisions effectively
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Occasional travel may be required

  • This position has a salary of $80,000 - $115,000. The above range represents the expected salary range for this position. The actual salary may vary based upon several factors, including, but not limited to, relevant skills/experience, time in the role, business line, and geographic location.
