About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity to take on a leadership role, guiding a team across two infant rooms, catering to up to 25 infants. Our philosophy focuses on people, belonging, and relationships, creating a warm, welcoming environment where children can explore and grow at their own pace.
As Head Teacher, you will mentor and inspire your team, ensuring compliance and fostering a child-led, play-based approach to learning. We are looking for a leader who is confident, knowledgeable, and passionate about driving high-quality education and care.
This is a permanent, full-time position (40 hours per week, Monday–Friday).
What We’re Looking For
We need a natural leader who shares our values and vision, with a strong understanding of programme planning, assessment, and curriculum development. The ideal candidate will have:
- B Ed/Dip Teaching Level 7 (ECE) and Full Teacher Certification
- Strong knowledge of Te Whāriki, ECE regulations, and compliance requirements
- A commitment to fostering a nurturing and stimulating environment for infants
- A passion for growth and developing high-quality learning experiences
- Proven ability to lead, mentor, and support a collaborative teaching team
