We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Heavy Diesel Mechanic with over five years of industry experience to join our team. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining heavy diesel vehicles and machinery. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting routine servicing, troubleshooting mechanical and electrical faults, and performing major repairs to ensure equipment reliability and efficiency.

This position requires expertise in diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics, and electrical systems, as well as the ability to use diagnostic tools effectively. The role involves working independently and collaboratively to minimize downtime and maintain high operational standards. Attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and a strong commitment to workplace health and safety are essential. The ability to interpret technical manuals and schematics will also be required to ensure repairs and maintenance meet both industry and manufacturer standards.

Applicants must have the legal right to work in New Zealand, be able to pass a pre-employment drug test, and have a clean Ministry of Justice (MOJ) check. A relevant trade qualification in Heavy Diesel Mechanics or a related field is necessary, along with a valid driver's license, preferably Class 2 or higher. Strong communication skills, flexibility with working hours, and the ability to work efficiently under pressure will be key to success in this role.
