The role | Mō tēnei tūranga mahi Our casual roles cover leave for permanent Support Workers in Christchurch providing you with the opportunity to gain valuable experience across a range of our services (community mobile, respite, residential and recovery). The hours of work are not regular and are offered when they become available, so if you’re looking for a role with flexibility then we’d love to hear from you.
This role will always have variety, and it could include things like:
Goal setting and building confidence
Securing a job or finding a place to live
Supporting people with budgeting and independent daily living skills
Attending appointments and advocating for people
Assisting people to connect with their communities
Medication support where required
Supporting whai ora with their daily routine
Maintaining the house
Supporting people to manage their distress
Be prepared to do whatever it takes - cleaning, cooking, gardening or helping with everyday tasks
You | Mōu Criteria:
It is essential that applicants applying for this role should be prepared to work all shifts (AM, PM, and awake nights) when required on any day of the week and across all services.
