Working on behalf of our client we are seeking a Qualified Accountant to join their finance team in Auckland Central in a Finance Business Partner role. This role offers an exciting opportunity to provide business partnering to a leading service provider, with a focus on delivering insightful reporting and analysis to key stakeholders. The successful candidate will also partner with the Group Financial Planning Manager on financial modelling for forecasts and valuations, M&A and Group treasury.

Main Duties and responsibilities

As a Finance Business Partner, your role will be pivotal in driving the financial success of our client's operations. You will be responsible for providing preparing high-quality monthly reporting packs. Your keen understanding of key business drivers will enable you to produce relevant analysis and commentary that informs strategic decision-making. Additionally, you will support detailed 5-year three statement modelling for banking syndicate and capital planning, contributing significantly to the annual budget process. You will also assist in Group Treasury managing a large debt and hedge book.

Primary duties include:

• Prepare and continuously develop high-quality monthly reporting packs
• Provide business partnering across the group
• Use a large ERP system for reporting and analysis
• Interact with ELT and regional managers on performance, trend analysis - highlighting opportunities for the business to improve profitability and grow
• Understand key drivers of the business to produce relevant analysis and commentary
• Support detailed 5-year three statement modelling for banking syndicate and capital planning
• Contribute to the annual budget process, including developing annual business plans with ELT and regional managers

What the successful candidate will bring:

The ideal candidate for this Finance Business Partner role needs to be a qualified chartered accountant, with BIG4 Audit experience and a strong knowledge/understanding of financial reporting standards. Your ability to analyse data into meaningful insights is strong. You are highly proficient in Excel and other MS Office applications, with experience working with Adaptive, NetSuite or other large ERP systems is desirable. Your qualifications include either CA/ACA/CPA/CFA, and you have on-going commitment to professional development.

Must have experience/qualifications/soft skills:

• CA/ACA/CPA/CFA qualification with a commitment to ongoing professional development
• Accounting / Finance Degree- with high academic achievements
• Minimum 2 years BIG4 Audit/Assurance experience
• Strong technical accounting knowledge, understanding of financial reporting standards
• Strong Excel and other MS Office applications
• Experience working with Adaptive, NetSuite or other large ERP systems is desirable
• Excellent verbal/oral communication skills and strong interpersonal skills to build relationships with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders

Whats on offer?

Competative salary $110k-$130k base, benefits inlude parking and professional development support, plus a great and collborative working enviroment in their Remuera based offices. This is a permanent, full-time role (40 hours per week).
