About the role:

The Core Tribe is the heart of the bank providing all the cool online / real-time transactional services that power ASB. As an ABAP developer, you will be supporting the SAP squads on a large migration project. Your everyday tasks should be like these:

  • Work closely the SAP Team and Stakeholders to deliver effective and efficient Technical Solutions on SAP Fioneer Transactional Banking (TRBK) platform that meets Business Requirements and ASB & APRA Controls.
  • Collaborate with the delivery squads to build & deliver the approved solutions.
  • Continuously look for opportunities to optimise customer/staff journeys using standard TRBK
  • Actively work with the SAP Technical Engineers and build efficiencies within the Development Chapter and support the team with their training and development goals.
  • Support and perform audits to inspect that a clean core platform is maintained.
  • Provide thought leadership on TRBK implementation and SAP Best Practices.



About you:


We are looking for someone who has:

  • Strong background and experience in designing and delivering ABAP solutions.
  • Knowledge in S/4HANA TRBK and Fiori is an added advantage.
  • Strong Banking Services background
  • Ability to mentor SAP Team members & end users on TRBK and other supporting SAP systems/tools/processes.
  • Proficient in agile methodologies and ability to run agile ceremonies.
  • Proven ability to deliver strong customer and business outcomes, with a can-do attitude and growth & learning mindset.
  • Ability to navigate challenging situations & people to achieve desired outcomes.


Outcomes you are responsible for:

  • ABAP Development: Design, development, testing and implementation of ABAP programs for SAP Fioneer Transactional Banking (TRBK) Platform.
  • Code Reviews and Quality Assurance: Facilitate/Conduct regular code reviews to ensure high quality and efficient code. Implement quality assurance practices.
  • System Integration: Ensure seamless integration of ABAP solution with other SAP modules and external systems.
  • Performance Tuning: Optimize and enhance the performance of ABAP programs to meet business requirements.
  • Requirement Analysis: Collaborate with BA & functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
  • Documentation: Maintain comprehensive technical documentation for all developed ABAP solutions.
  • Problem Resolution: Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to ABAP programs and TRBK platform.
  • Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with the latest ABAP development trends and technologies to continuously improve the development process and technical solutions.
