We are looking for Part Time Workers to help the people we support in our Nelson residential services. This is a 24/7 roster Monday to Sunday which includes working overnight and alternate weekends. This will suit people who are looking for flexibility and more regular longer shifts in one place.

What does a Support Worker do?

In Residential disability our support workers assist people who access our services to live as independently as possible in their community. Support workers are part of a team who work shifts or specific rosters providing 24/7 cover with responsibilities including aiding with personal care, community outings and integration, and other aspects of daily living - enabling our people to be as independent as possible.

What are we looking for?

• A desire to support our people to learn new skills and achieve outcomes
• Prior experience is not essential as full training is provided
• Full driver's license and confidence to safely transport passengers in our disability vans (training provided)
• Flexibility to work rostered overnight shifts and rostered weekend shifts
• Empathy, respect, and cultural awareness is important in this role as the people we support come from diverse backgrounds with varying needs and interests.
