Job Description

Are you a qualified and experienced builder ready to take on exciting new projects? Tradestaff is seeking an Experienced Builder to join one of our clients in Cambridge, Waikato.
If you have a passion for crafting quality homes and take pride in your workmanship, this is the perfect role for you!

About the Role:This role involves building residential homes from start to finish. You’ll be working on a variety of new build projects, ensuring each house is completed to the highest standard. As part of a skilled team, you’ll play a key role in delivering quality homes on time and within scope.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Building residential houses from foundation to completion.
  • Reading and interpreting architectural and technical drawings.
  • Framing, roofing, cladding, and finishing work.
  • Ensuring all work complies with New Zealand building codes and safety standards.
  • Collaborating with other tradespeople and contractors on-site.
  • Solving construction challenges and ensuring efficient workflow.


What We’re Looking For:

  • Proven experience in residential construction (minimum 3+ years).
  • Relevant qualifications in carpentry or building (NZ trade qualification preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of New Zealand building codes and regulations.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering quality craftsmanship.
  • Excellent problem-solving and organizational skills.
  • Reliable, self-motivated, and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Full NZ driver’s license and own reliable transport.
