Our Orthodontic practice is searching for a receptionist/administration assistant to help us care for the smiles of Cantabrians.

This person must be welcoming and organized; confidently and professionally caring for patients both in person and during phone calls.

This is a busy position so excellent communication skills are a necessity as you will be helping and liaising with multiple patients, their families, laboratories, family practitioners, ACC and other specialists every day.

You will deal with our patient accounts and banking transactions daily so attention to detail is crucial.


What you need to bring to our practice –

  • Integrity and honesty in all you do
  • A positive, empathetic outlook on life
  • Flexibility, initiative and a “let’s solve this” attitude
  • The ability to both take direction and work together with the team
  • Previous experience in reception/administration
  • Knowledge of health care practice software systems (dental/medical/physio)
  • Confidence and proficiency with MS Office programs
  • The knowledge that this position is a career not just a job
  • An always ready smile.


This position is four days/week (7.45am-5.15pm) plus you will provide cover for our other receptionist when required - no late nights or weekend work.

Remuneration commensurate with experience, plus the option for extra leave during school holidays for those with family commitments is available.
