re you an experienced leading hand looking for the next challenge? Look no further, we have an exciting new opportunity available now!

Leading hand | Otahuhu Based | $38+ per hour
Monday – Friday | 07:30am to 4:00pm (temp to perm)

Our client runs a sheet company based in Otahuhu, looking for an individual with the skills and leadership qualities able to motivate and lead on-site staff. Long-term employment opportunities for those with the right attitude and experience.

The role:
You will be an essential part of the project, building commercial apartments and working on the rail links in the CBD. Duties include the following

  • Provide on site guidance and support to all tradesmen assisting in the project
  • competently fabricating and welding various structures or components integral to the completion of the project
  • Actively participate in the fit out process, working with various tools
  • Liaise with contractors in a professional manner, organising resources and materials
  • Be committed to providing an excellent finished product
  • Work to tight deadlines and schedules


About you:

  • Must have proven on-site leadership experience. (at least 1 year)
  • Must be able to train/lead staff
  • Must be a qualified welder and fabricator
  • Must be site safe certified
  • Must be eligible to work in NZ, pass drug test, and have clean MOJ history.
  • Own transport with full class 1 license
