Key responsibilities will include:

  • Act as a trusted partner to achieve people-related goals for assigned portfolios.
  • Enhance employee and leader experiences within the business portfolios.
  • Use data and insights to identify trends and recommend solutions.
  • Develop leadership skills and team effectiveness through talent and succession planning.
  • Implement change programs in line with Council’s design principles.

You are a seasoned HR Business Partner with a proven ability to add value at an operational and a strategic level. Your excellent communication skills and courage to deliver open, honest, and direct feedback sets you apart.

You have a comprehensive understanding of New Zealand legislation and case law, and you excel at interpreting data to identify workforce challenges.

Your strong interpersonal skills and situational awareness enables you to build robust relationships with leaders and unions, influencing key business decisions. You are resilient, solutions-oriented, operate in ambiguity, commercial savvy and focused on achieving outcomes.

Additionally, you have a good understanding of HR Agile ways of working, making you a versatile and effective team member.
