The Role
We’re committed to excellence in manufacturing and innovation. As a Process Chemist, you will be based in our new plant in Tauriko developing and optimising chemical processes for the production of GIB products. Providing support in the process of quality testing and auditing product at all stages of development to enhance product quality, yield and safety. Your day to day will also include:
- Testing raw materials and aid in plant trials.
- Investigating process efficiencies in the GIB plant operations.
- Assisting the team in the development of new products.
- Maintain process documentation, batch records and technical reports
- Audit production staff regularly to ensure best practice is being followed.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with production, R & D and engineering teams
About You
- Ideally you’ll have worked in a manufacturing environment and will have hands-on experience with laboratory techniques, calibration and instrumentation. Also contributing to your success;
- Bachelor’s degree in science, majoring in Chemistry preferred (or appropriate work experience may be considered)
- Strong technical knowledge and a successful track record of working in a process improvement role.
- Excellent attention to detail and problem solving skills
- A team player who can work collaboratively and communicate effectively
