He angitūtanga / The opportunity:
Join our team at Foodstuffs Auckland as a Catering Assistant Front of House. You will be responsible for delivering a high-quality catering service to our customers, ensuring all tasks are performed with due regard for Health and Safety and Food Safety regulations. This is a casual position and hours of work are on "as and when" required basis upon business needs.
Ko o kawenga / Your responsibilities:
- Assist with preparing and presenting food, including portioning and plating for service.
- Provide a warm, friendly, and welcoming style of service to all customers.
- Maintain clean and tidy dining and kitchen areas, including cleaning tables, sweeping, and mopping floors.
- Handle waste and linen, ensuring hygiene standards are met.
- Communicate effectively in the workplace, following routine instructions and relaying information as needed.
He kōrero mōu / About you:
- Team player with the ability to work autonomously.
- Experience in a similar role, preferably in a catering environment.
- Flexible approach and attitude, with good communication skills.
- Hardworking, physically fit, and reliable.
- NZQA Food Handling Certificate (Units 167 & 168) is desirable.
